Life Lately: Using January Review to Live More Intentionally

At the end of last year, I spent some time recapping 2025, and I really enjoyed the process: I went through my calendar and my camera roll and looked back to see all the different things that happened. It was super helpful (I can't ever remember what I did yesterday, let alone what I did 3 months ago LOL), and inspired me to move into this year more intentionally!
When I set up my 2026 calendar, I created a space to do a review each month, vs waiting till the end of the year.

On Jan 31, I went through my January - I looked at my pictures and my calendar, thought about my habits and practices, projects I worked on, etc. I was almost surprised to come up with as many things as I did! There were some things I was really proud of, and I made sure to notice the places where I had FUN, plus areas where I would like to focus more on.
Key happenings in January 2026:
Taught my 200th class at @502PowerYoga!
I was sick at the beginning of the month 🤧😒 (just a cold/respiratory thing)
I cleared off my PILE, which is a basket that I literally moved from our old house in 2017 - there was some very old stuff in there! (part of my Creating Space/Clearing out 2026 efforts!)
A surprise party for P! 🥳
❄ SNOW (Hank is not a fan of his booties 😩)
Getting back into a consistent yoga practice, including SEVEN sunrise (5:45/6am) classes, which I've never really done (bonus coffee shop time after!)
A Paint and Sip event to celebrate a friend's birthday - super fun!
I sent out a weekly MacDonald Wellness newsletter which I haven't done in years! Sign up here if you're interested in getting it!

After creating this list, I was able to more intentionally create my goals for February.
What's something fun you did or something you're proud of from January? How can you use that to live more intentionally this month?
⭐I'd love to hear your ideas and what you think about this! Shoot me an email, or comment with your ideas!!
Bonus video of Hank watching Ted Lasso with me! 😍
